It’s cold and dark and all you want to do is stay indoors and keep warm!  But when you do venture out winter clothes can feel bulky, baggy and anything but stylish!  Here are our top four tips to show you how to look glam and keep cosy.

1. Layers
Thin layers are warmer than chunky knits because warm air is trapped between the layers so you’re warm too. Layered thin knits can also look more interesting than one big chunky jumper. If you wear thick opaque tights or leggings you can still wear your favourite mini skirt or dress. A maxi pencil skirt also looks great with a cosy long line sweater too.
2. Woollen Dresses
These are a great choice for winter into spring fashion. Whether you opt for high end cashmere or affordable synthetic fabric, they’re ideal for daytime or evening wear – glam them up with high heels and accessories. If you love to show off your curves, a knitted dress can be worn like a slinky body con dress.  Or size up if you prefer a looser fit.
3. A Smart Warm Coat
If you have a really glamorous occasion where dressing up is vital a good warm coat, smart and in a neutral colour is worth its weight in gold! It means you arrive warm and dry and it’s there waiting for you at home time. The shops are full of bargains in the sales, especially as winter arrived late, and you can often find something in a much better quality than you could normally afford. If you look after it you’ll get several winters wear out of it.
4. Warm Feet
If your feet are cold you‘ll feel cold all over. So choose trousers or leggings that tuck into smart warm boots and thin socks. Opt for polished and well heeled boots here not scruffy wellies!
The key to keeping warm and looking great is to be positive and layer up with colours you love and remember that spring is just around the corner!
