About Apples and Pears Clothing
Apples and Pears Clothing was borne out of boredom and frustration. I was tired of high street basics, and the limited selection for plus-size ladies like me. I wanted colour, I wanted fashion, I wanted statement pieces that would take me from day to night without a what the hell do I wear today dilemma. I also wanted clothes that actually fit. So, I decided to do it for myself!
Since setting up Apples and Pears Clothing in 2012, owning an affordable and totally curvalicious clothing collection has been a reality for plus-size women - in the UK and beyond. Here’s how we did it…
We measure every garment
Forget what the label says, how does an item of clothing actually fit? We are the only company that gives detailed measurements of everything we sell so you can decide which size is the best fit for you. We stock items labeled 16 to 34, but the measurements can tell a different story.
We handpick for good cuts
What is it with plus-size pattern cutting? So often we find that anything over a 14 just gets cut “big all over”. We celebrate beautiful bodyshapes, and want you to find clothes that show off your very best assets, not hide behind badly cut garments! We specially source from a range of suppliers that celebrate beautiful bodyshapes too.
We offer free returns
Even after seeing lovely pictures, and knowing all the measurements are right, sometimes a nice-looking item just doesn’t bring out your mojo. Whilst online shopping is easy and convenient, there are limitations (such as determining the mojo effect) so we think it is only right that you can send back anything that doesn’t make you feel like the goddess you truly are… for free. You have 30 days to do so.
We are real plus-size babes!
We live and breathe fashion, we are plus ‘n’ proud, we are here to share the secrets of finding the best clothes to suit your body shape. Ergo we deliver an AWESOME SERVICE to all our customers. You can read more about me, Liz, and the other ladies in the team in our bios below.
