This spring pastels are back!  Although pretty pale shades tend to be associated with little girls, weddings and your gran, pastels can look great! Cast aside your prejudices and read our top four tips to wear pastels, which will help you to wonder why you thought they weren’t for you.

  • Look at The Variety of Shades
Pastels aren’t just pink and blue Look for mint green, primrose yellow and soft grey and of course this summer’s top pastel shade – lilac. Try mixing these shades with black or white separates. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how they lift your mood and can look fresh and contemporary rather than sweet or girly!

  • Don’t Go Head to Toe in One Colour
Keep the look basic and wear one or two maximum pastel garments in one outfit. Give a dusty pink dress an edgier look by teaming with a black denim or biker jacket, boots or pink trainers.

  • Try Pastels with Crayola Brights
Another top trend this season is bright colours especially for shoes and accessories so how about teaming your sherbet yellow top with bright scarlet kitten heels and bag – an outfit sure to get you noticed! We also love the new chunky pastel trainers. All these looks are a real tonic after a long, cold, grey winter.

  • Try Out Different Looks
The key to pastel perfection is to experiment to find your own personal style. Also try the oversized look with long jackets and midi length dresses and skirts – pastels should no longer look prissy and fussy, but sophisticated and grown-up so enjoy a new light and bright look this spring and summer.
