Autumn is upon us and it’s time to dig out the knitwear again. But this year you can forget boring woollies that you’ve probably had for years and take a look at the lovely new designs and styles for this season. If you feel the cold when the temperatures dip you’ll really appreciate these new looks.
Choker Neck Jumpers
A warm over-sized jumper with a V-neck and long sleeves with a wide woollen choker band across the neck to give a scarf effect. Choose bright red, one of this years’ key colours. This choker neck design is a new look in knitwear, and bound to prove popular.

Detailed Sleeves

Sleeves started to take centre stage in the summer and this look of wide and sometimes over-long sleeves has continued into this season. Fitted to the elbow then widening into a bell-bottom shape at the cuffs. Some have frills and ruffles on the sleeves, others on the shoulders. It’s a feminine look which is sure to catch on.

Knitted Dresses

A jumper dress with long sleeves and cowl or roll neck can be worn with leggings or skinny jeans which is a great look, or as a knee-length dress with thick tights. Try matching it with a pair of colourful and patterned tights, another new look for this season. These dresses are oversized and chunky, and super comfy.

Chunky Jumpers

This winter pair your big chunky jumpers with a floaty skirt in a winter floral print. Baggier knits can be a great winter warmer as you can wear thinner layers underneath. Choose soft fabrics or knit your own!

Cardigans

If you think of Hilda Ogden when you think of cardigans then think again! These are a whole new look, long and cosy and with bright colours in beautiful patterns. Worn with a fitted midi dress or skirt and high chunky heels or boots you’ll be warm and fashionable. Another idea for cardigans for occasion wear is sleeves with appliqued designs and embroidery.

So, this winter follow these tips and keep really warm too!
