It’s now October and the sun is still shining!  No dreary raining autumn days so far this year. But this time of year mornings and evenings can be chilly so it can be tricky to get your outfit right.  Don’t pack away those summer clothes just yet adapt them with these three top tips:

1.    Layer Up
Warm days come with cool mornings and evenings so opt for thin light layers.  For example keep wearing those summer dresses but add a long sleeved top in a contrasting colour underneath and cardigan over the top which you can take of in the warmer part of the day.

2.    Experiment
Bare legs can be chilly this time of year, so it’s definitely time to get your tights out again.  Try them under smart shorts or thin skirts to get some extra wear out of your summer favourites. Jumpers over summery dresses can work well too.

3.    Accessorize
Pretty scarves can be great for this time of year. Rather than traditional chunky knitted scarves choose floaty fabrics in pretty prints.  Scarves are a great way to add colour as well as being an extra layer, and can really transform an outfit.

I hope these simple tips help you to enjoy the balmy autumn days (let’s hope it continues a bit longer!)
