There's nothing like that feeling of wearing an amazing new outfit for the first time. But over time colours fade, fabric frays and things don't look quite as shiny and new as they did.  If you want to get that feel good feeling more often, just follow our simple tips:

Knitwear
Piling on jumpers and knitwear can make it look old and tired. Buy it is easy to  remove them. Either with a de-bobbling gadget or a disposable razor run over the fabric does the job.

Handbags
To keep your new handbag looking great stuff with newspaper when not in use, as this helps keep its shape, then pop it into a soft bag to store it. White bags should be stored away from sunlight, as they easily discolour. Buff your bags up with a soft cloth after each use – it only takes a few seconds and is really worth it to keep them clean and looking good as new.

Keep Your Blacks Black
Black jeans have a place in everyone's wardrobe but to look their best they need to stay truly black and not fade. Turn inside out to wash and use a colder setting. Before wearing them for the first time soak your jeans in cold water and a cup of vinegar diluted in it – this locks in the colour and some swear it really does work.

Tights
They snag so easily and can get pulls in the wash, so its well worth investing in mesh laundry bags to put your delicates in. Also if you see a small pulled thread mend it straight away – a few stitches can prevent a ladder .

Buttons
A lost button can be really irritating and spoil your whole look. So strengthen as soon as you feel them becoming loose. If you have a favourite coat its worth replacing plastic buttons with metal or better quality ones as they will instantly give a better look .
