Chances are you've never owned a wrap skirt – well now’s the time to get yourself one, because they’re about to be everywhere this spring and summer. Wraps are designed to fix securely as they overlap with either a tie fastening or buttons or both and are adjustable and very comfortable. Also you can adapt them for different occasions. Here are our four ways to get a different look with one wrap skirt.

1. Day wear
In a plain or neutral colour and in a lightweight fabric for summer or heavier for winter team with a tee-shirt or fitted top, which tucks in and maybe a shirt over the top left unbuttoned. You could add a wide belt to show off your waist. For work-wear finish off with high heels. We love mid-calf or midi length, to give a longer silhouette.

2. With A Dress!
A wrap skirt worn over a fitted dress gives both items a new twist. Also it’s a good way to add an extra layer when it’s cold! The skirt gives you cover and you can allow it to part half-way down to show your matching or contrasting coloured dress underneath. How about a black dress and red skirt combo or visa-versa?

3. With Knitwear
Choose thin knit jumpers - a layered look more flattering and actually warmer than chunky knits. How about a striped top with a roll neck in say white and navy and a navy wrap skirt. Red bag and shoes would finish your outfit off. For glamorous evenings team a black wrap full-length skirt with a fitted sparkly long-sleeved top and maybe a sheer floaty shawl?

4. Teamed With Trousers
Either over slim-fitting trousers or leggings this is another great way to wear your wrap-skirt. Choose your colours carefully, with maybe a cream skirt over black leggings. For a different look match your top with your legs! Also good together are maroon and grey, and charcoal and deep pink.

So as you can see wrap skirts are a good addition to your wardrobe, and they’re big news this spring and summer, not just on the catwalks but for you too!
